12u JAYS win back to back tournaments!

Congratulations to the 12u JAYS for winning their 2nd tournament of the Spring, and their 2nd in a row!


"After a tough Saturday losing a game by a run and tying the other, the JAYS started Sunday with a dominant performance at the plate and on the bump. The JAYS scored 13 runs in two innings on 8 hits. Thiago Rivera shoved on the mound with 2 innings of 1 hit baseball. Henry Reynolds closed out the game allowing no hits, no runs and only 1 walk.

The JAYS stole the lead late and defeated Mambas Baseball 17-10 in the semi's. The game was tied at 10 with the JAYS batting in the top of the 4th when Thiago Rivera homered on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs. The JAYS collected nine hits. Tucker Skelton and Thiago Rivera each collected two hits. Kashton Shahan led the team with four stolen bases, as they tore it up on the base path with 21 stolen bases.

In the championship game, the JAYS snagged a late lead and defeated Texas Bluechips 10-9. The JAYS trailed 9-8 in the top of the fifth inning when Kashton Shahan singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. Gabe Hernandez closed the game out with 1.2 innings on the hill allowing only 1 hit.

Adrian Gomez was the JAYS Player of the tournament with a hot bat, great pitching, and solid defense.
