At OPA JAYS, we're always looking for ways to push our players and our training program to the next level. That's why we've made a change to how training works inside our facility now available to the public: all individual training is now structured around hour-long group sessions, booked through the Swift app.
How It Works
Players purchase a training membership for monthly credits, which are used to book sessions directly with their coach through Swift. Booking your time each month is now in your hands, giving players and families more control over scheduling while keeping training consistent and cage use organized.
Why We Made the Change
This new model lets us build a training experience that actually matches how players improve.
Competitive reps. Group sessions mean players are training and competing against another player, not just running through drills alone. That competitive element pushes players to bring their best every session.
Plenty of reps, with rest built in. Group training gives players the volume of reps they need to build skill, while spacing out those reps enough that players aren't grinding through burnout. It's about working hard and working smart.
More variety. Training in a group setting naturally expands the variety of work a Coach can provide the player, keeping sessions fresh and well-rounded instead of repetitive.
Consistent, priority access to coaches. Booking through Swift means players get consistent time with their coach and priority access to sessions, so development stays on track month to month.
What's Available
Alongside our long-running Hitting group sessions, we're now offering:
Pitching groups for pitchers looking to build arm strength, command, and mechanics.
Catching groups built specifically for catchers, covering the tools of the position.
Fielding groups for defensive players working on range, footwork, and glove work at any position.
Invest in the Reps Off the Field
The quickest way to keep developing on the field is by investing in the reps off it. Building mechanics, fundamentals, and muscle memory in the cage and on the mound is what shows up in games. Our new training structure is built to help every JAYS player put in that work the right way.
