JAYS Bring 2 Tournament Wins Back to One Percent Academy

Congratulations to our 14u JAYS - Coble and 10u JAYS for both bringing home Championship wins back to One Percent Academy! The JAYS Family couldn't be more proud of you guys!

Our 14u JAYS went 4-1 on the weekend, scoring 34 runs while only giving up 7 on defense. The JAYS were lead all weekend by stellar defense, timely hitting and great pitching performances by the pitching staff.

Ethan Lieber threw a No Hitter while striking out 4 in Pool Play. Carson Cooksey opened bracket play with a gem on the mound, and Noah Ross shuts the door on the tournament with a dominating performance in the Championship Game, only giving up 1 run to stop a team that scored 23 in the previous 2 games.

The 10u JAYS capped off the weekend with a 13-6 victory in the Championship Game to bring home their 1st tournament win in their 1st tournament of the Fall. The 10u JAYS dominated all weekend by scoring 74 runs, while only giving up 18, to go 5-0 on the weekend.

Howie Kelchner was named Tournament MVP on the weekend after going 7-11 at the plate and driving in 5 runs!

Today, the JAYS get back to work.
